It's been a while since my last post I know!

I'm busy working on a short film. Here's some snapshots to tease you...

Magic Hour

Today, I uploaded a short high definition video test on my Vimeo page, which I highly recommend you watch. 


The shot is just a test shot for short film idea I have. I was just trying to test out the lens/light quality at this time of the day to see what sort of results I could produce (and I reckon it looks pretty awesome, if I do say so myself). I'll hopefully be making this movie within the next few weeks or so.... so, watch this space! 


Some details for those who care: The video is raw untouched Full HD video footage (1920 x 1080 at 25fps) - and it was shot using the Canon EOS 7D (what else?) with an 18-200mm zoom lens @ ISO 250. Ch-ch-check it out:

Rough Patch Pictures

It's been well over a month since I began posting on this site - and I haven't posted anything about my filmmaking yet as I have been focusing on my photography. I'll try to rectify this in the next couple of weeks.

To start, I have uploaded the offical new "Rough Patch Pictures" production logo up on Vimeo. You can watch it by clicking on the link under the picture below. This logo will be used in all my film productions from now on. A special thanks also goes out to Ben McEwan, a mate of mine who made the animation from scratch for me. Cheers Ben if you read this!

Next up, below is another link to one of my old short films on the net. It's called "Way Out West" and  it was made back in about 2007 (just before I started my second year of uni). It's simple, short and sweet, and I was pretty happy with the way it turned out at the time. I filmed the entire thing by myself on my little digital camera with only 2 mates as the main actors (Chris Webb and Richard Marshall) and my brother helping out with props etc behind the scenes. 

Way Out West was screened at the "Short::Seasons film festival" that year (a local Canberran film festival), and also played at another tiny festival in Byron Bay called the "Mariachi Short Film Festival". And now it lives on forever on Youtube...
